I'm going to send my Bilstein shocks (FX3) to be revavled.
I've removed everything. Except the coilover sleeve.
Does anyone know if they need to remove them before send them out.
If I need to remove them how do I do it?
The sleeve should only be retained by a snap-ring at the bottom of the sleeve. It should be very straight forward! I'd certainly think you would want to remove the sleeves and the snap-rings before shipping!
The snap ring is between the shock and sleeve. Mine are just under the bottom edge, but another set I had were about 3/4" from bottom edge.
They are a very close fit, so any amount of dust will lock them together.
Maybe an air nozzle and some twisting, will get the sleeve off.
Blew out all the dirt. Sucker doesnt twist. Soaking it with WD-40 right now.
After I blew out the dirt I see the end of the snap ring.
Just looks liken an end of the ring.
I'm guessing there is a special tool for this?
All my screwdrivers and snap ring pliers are too big.
Does anyone know when new. Do the sleeves just slide on?

Yes, sleeves slide on and off. You can't do anything with the snap ring, until the sleeve is moved to expose it. Piston ring pliers work well to spread the snap ring and slide off shock.
Do you autocross your vette? Do you think the DRM springs made enough of a difference to recommend them to do the same to my 95 track car? I have been hesitant to spend the money.
