Dont get too hung up on shape of header port. Long as it covers you are good to go.
Then I guess my next question is about manifold gaskets. I was planning on using copper gaskets I've had good luck with them in the past. Jegs calls out a square port gasket for the car, which was why I asked about port shape. Any recommendations are much appreciated.

My graphics were to highlight the difference in port "height" -- in relation to the bolt-hole locations. This is often referred to as a higher port IMO.
