Default 1989 C4 Exhaust port shape

I have a stock C4 and I'm getting ready to do a full exhaust swap. What shape are the exhaust ports on my stock alum. heads (square, D port etc.)?

Dont get too hung up on shape of header port. Long as it covers you are good to go.

Then I guess my next question is about manifold gaskets. I was planning on using copper gaskets I've had good luck with them in the past. Jegs calls out a square port gasket for the car, which was why I asked about port shape. Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Here ya go, Ron. You posted this before. It's a pic of the L98 vs LT1 exhaust ports. (The OP can see for himself.)

Return fire

195afr head
D port 113

1404 Fel Pro should take care of most.

(he will have to measure his header port obviously)

It's a repost from YOU! I just added the "graphics" for clarification.

At the time, it was a similiar discussion -- but about the interchangeability of headers from L98s to LT1s.

My graphics were to highlight the difference in port "height" -- in relation to the bolt-hole locations. This is often referred to as a higher port IMO.
