I need some help with hooking up the fuel lines, sensors and vacuum lines on my TPIS MiniRam. Pics would also be great!

There was an emmisions routing schematic sticker somewhere on my radiator shroud. If you can find yours it should give you a good idea of where most of the emissions tubes go.

As far as the fuel lines go you will probably need to use at least one of the adapters that was sent with the unit so they will thread up correctly. On my '86 the smaller fuel line goes to the tube connected to the AFPR. Your '88 may not be the same, but just connect the fuel line that was attached to your AFPR previously to the new one.

As far as sensors go you can toss the coolant temp sensor that controls the cold start valve (if you have one), all you will need is the temp sensor for the ecm (If you start her up and the fans never kick on, you have used the wrong sensor). Screw that and the heater tube into the front 2 coolant holes. You can toss all the egr equiptment also. You will have to block the egr tube coming out of the exhaust manifold if you still have that. I know this sounds stupid, but if you don't have a block off plate you can stick a wine cork in there to block it temporarily. I can't remember any other sensors off hand, but my car isn't here right now, so maybe I am missing something.
Good luck.
Jeff

If you can not find your emissions routing sticker I can try to give you more specific directions, but I have no pictures.

fuel lins kind of hooked themselves up in my 86 just by their postion, and as already mentioned had to use one if the adapters tpis supplied. as for sensors i think that is pretty much just the coolant sensor on the front of the MR. that sensor feeds the ecm and the coolant sensor in the left head feeds the gage in the cluster. as for vacuum, i went to napa and bought the appropriate size fittings for fuel pressure and brakes and just capped the other openings. i do have some pics of the install but they din't show much that would help. i f you want them , let me know and i will be glad to send them. my setup was far from stock as i deleted the ac, AIR pump and belt driven water pump

Thanks for the info. I don't have any emmissions, so that's one less issue to deal with. So how do I know which sensor to lose? What do I do with the coolant line that goes to the rear of the stock manifold? Does anyone have some pics?

Try posting it in the engine mods section. You should get some response there...

If you are not running the coolant thru the throttle body i would just cap off everything that isn't feeding the motor or the heater core and as for the sensors I personally retained them both for the ecm and the gage
