Mike I read your thread on top glass top restore and what you to see these pictures:
The shinny part is just where I used a wet wipe to show how dull it is.
I just bought a used top to put on the car so my fiberglass top can be fixed. The top is dull and is covered in a haze. I knew the top was like this, but if I can fix it cool if not no big deal. Is this what yours looked like before your restore? Also your thread said glass top restore, but this is a plastic top, is that going to make it different?

The transparent tops are not glass. They are acrylic, which is what you are calling plastic.
If you have a random orbital buffer get a fine polishing compound and start polishing. If you do not have a random orbital buffer then you can do the buffing by hand with a soft cloth and a hand buffing compound.
If the surface of the top is really scratched and beat up and buffing does not clean it up then you should wet sand with a proper grade of sandpaper, such as 600 with water, and then 1000 and 1500 before buffing.

I was wondering what the options for clear tops were. I was under the impression the factory clear tops were glass and aftermarket were acrylic. Was there ever a glass top on the C4?
