F & R are different. A few yrs may change between their fronts OR their rears but not f to back on any. Different mounts.
I think 84 thru 87 were same then 88 thru 96..but I could be wrong...the later gen C4 had some suspension geometry changes. I know after 87 but not sure about the next one..

Thanks, what I meant to say was " are the front shocks mechanically interchangable between all years" and "are the rear shocks mechanically interchangable between all years"
So the 84-87's are interchangable as are the 88-96's. Correct.

I think the '88 used a unique shock. I think it was a different height or something. Other than that '84-'87 are different and '89-'96 are different.
