I was having a ton of trouble compressing the calipers on my 1990 Coupe, so I unhooked the e-brake spring to see if that would make it easier and it went "sprruuunngggg" over my shoulder, in the grass, and it's no where to be found. Anyone know where I could pick up a replacement? I looked online at local auto parts store and they don't seem to have it.
I am thinking I may have to go with a wrecking yard, but they never have vettes in stock, so I need to know what other makes/models have rear disk brakes with the same spring.

That particular spring is only used '88+ C4 Corvettes. It's the same left and right. When available from GM it was part # 10112651. There should be many many used calipers out there.
I'd post a "wanted to buy" for just the spring and I believe you'll have no issues coming up with one! A plus for you would be you've got your "location" in your profile so you might just find one maybe local or very close.
Not trying to be a wise A$$ but do you maybe know someone with a "metal detector"!!!
THey are also available at rock auto, WAGNER Part # H5591
They come in that kit. I have a few of my old ones in the basement, let me look tonight and I'll let you know in the AM...PM me your address in the meantime. Also have kits with all of the seals and such that I'm not using.

I actually tried with a metal detector, but no luck. For all I know the thing flew 60' into my neighbors yard. I was facing the wrong way when it flew over my shoulder. At least now I know to not take the e-brake springs off when I change my brakes
The parking brake is independent of the hydraulic portion of the brakes.
If you had trouble pushing it in either the parking brake is on/stuck on,etc...or your hose/caliper,etc...is sticking/stuck.
You do not need to remove the springs/mess with parking brake to replace the brake pads per FSM and my own experience. If you do something is wrong with your brakes.
Note in the parking brake off position, the little levers on the calipers should be at rest against them.

To release the spring tension at the Caliper Parking brake levers, you need to first, unload the tension at the Parking brake Hand lever assy (auto adjuster) you should look into this before re-installing the springs...FSM will guide you through the needed steps. This would be a good time to inspect the "free play" at the Levers.
I need your name in order to send the stuff out...kidna weird just having an address on the box without a name. Have a bunch of random stuff heading your way...two of the springs, pad springs, slide pin boots, brake line clips, all random stuff I had hanging around form the brake job. I do not have any piston seals though, sorry.
Sent out priority today at like 12:00. Forgot to bring the piston seals to work, but I wanted you to get the package before monday so I sent it anyways. If you need the seals, LMK.
Sorry to reply to such an old thread but it is exactly what I was looking for. I am in need of a 1990 corvette parking break return spring. I checked both the link and part number listed above and neither got me anywhere. Does anyone have any additional sources for these springs? I am surprisingly having a hard time finding one. I will also be posting in the WTB section.
