ok. I'm gonna go out in a bit and get a pic. it's 95 degrees out and I don't have a garage.
They way we were talking is that the other ball sits in the case, directly above where the spring and the other check ball is.

okay... i think I got it.
in my picture, it's the hole at the bottom of the pic, down where the wire is, on the right side of the image.
it appears to already have a detent.

You have been awesome helping me out!
on to my next question.
1. I have an allen head bolt left over. not sure where it went... I installed one in the recessed hole by the arm.
2. My 84 has been carb'd, so there is no electronic control over the OD. Can I just permantly mount the arm so that it's disabled?
