Default 88 power seat schematics

My seats (both of them) have issues with the side bolsters - they don't work! They did when I bought the car. I've swapped them as the drivers leather had a hole. IIRC that's when the side bolsters stopped working. I've since changed them back but no joy. The seat bottoms work perfectly, the backrest moves back & forth but no side bolster action. I'm assuming that the switches are wired in an 'X' pattern to reverse the motors and it looks like they would break if I took it apart. I've got power to the backrest switch but none to the side bolster switch.

A schematic would help I think unless there is a fuse for just the side bolsters! Anyone have a wiring diagram?

So this is what I've figured out.
There are 2 wires (orange + / Black - ) that provide power for everything.
These feed into a 4-pin connector (black molex on the left). Then 4 black wires run from there to the backrest switch - 2 for power and 2 to go to the backrest motor. The wires coming out beside the orange and black are blue and green. They are further now spliced into 4 wires (2 blue 2 green).

One blue and one green feed the backrest motor. The other blue and green ones feed into another connector (gray one beside it). Again, 4 black wires leave the other side and hook up to the side bolster switch.

Here's the problem:
There is no power from those (blue & green) wires for the side bolster switch. I can jump power directly to the gray molex half of the side bolster motor and it will work. But when everything is plugged in, they do not work. It seems that the backrest switch is not allowing the power to go through it to them, yet the backrest still works!
One would think that the switch is faulty however.... BOTH seats are this way!

I've checked with a voltmeter that both the blue and green wires have continuity from the black molex through the gray molex right to the side bolster switch.
Any ideas??

Here's the schematics for a 89 sport seat. Can't say the color of the
wires are the same as a 88 but the physical wiring should be the same.

Most likely you have two plugs connected wrong since all you did was
replace the seats and now both of them have the same problem.

Thank you! Looks slightly different but I'll have a closer look at it tomorrow.

Side bolster power does not go through the backrest switch.

Sounds like one of more of the plugs is not set up right.
