ONLY way is to go to the drags & put her on the electronic scale,,my 1966 427 convertable,1/3 tank of gas, alum heads, no spare , removed spare carrier assy & no jack , side exhaust, mini staretr ,no air, no radio, composie rear spring.tipped the scale at 3080LBS without me in her..................... :blueangel:
Actually, in the 3,200+ lb catogory is where I've seen them on the scales. My porker convertible with auxillary hardtop in place registered 3,410 lbs without me in it, with me the race weight is just over 3,600 lbs.
My roadster - did someone say they're fat :) - weighed 3,493 without me, but with a full tank, 315 Kumhos, etc at the SCCA Nat'l Tour in San Diego a couple of months ago.
I was told that the weight given by GM as "curb weight" includes all fluids (full tank) and two passengers. So, I don't add my weight and subtract 180 for the other passenger for actual weight. I have never weighed the car. Anybody else do this?
