Exteremely. Coated ones are a little better, but you still don't want to touch them. Engine paint is typically rated to 500 degrees and it'll burn off of headers in about 1 minute.
Exhaust paint is supposed to be rated for around 1200 degrees.
See the diesel boys and install a pyrometer gage for a true reading. Diesel boys hell, I'm sure the rice crowd uses them. They have every gauge known to mankind in their cars. :D
They get pretty warm, but have no affected my coolant temps yet even though they run right by the oil cooler lines. They are cool to the touch within 20 minutes of being off.
They get damd hot but like scorp said has no affect on the coolant ,oil or any other fluid...mine are jet coated and on the way to B.G. the hottest I saw my car temp at was 190 ...believe it or not :cool:
