security light
The security system was the hatch open light not on, a switch in the rear inside edge of each door and a switch behind each door's lock cylinder. The FSM showed a switch behind each door's handle, like a tamper switch if someone punched out the handle but those were never installed - I don't know if later models had them. Any of the switches can put a ground on the security module, telling it something is open. When you lock the doors with the power lock switch or under certain other circumstances which I don't remember, the system arms and the security light goes out just after you close the door. On mine all the door switches were rotten or corroded. I was able to bring one door switch back to life, the other 3 I replaced. The courtesy light switches in the front pillars were not involved with security. The electrical suppliment to the FSM was very useful.
The theft deterrent alarm is disarmed by unlocking either door, using the key. Try both doors and see if the light and clicking, go away.
There is a switch at door lock cylinder that sends ground to controller. If the system is armed(using power locks to lock doors) and the switch in door is not working, the controller thinks there has been a break in and activates horn.
