1995 LT1 Radiator Cap
I generally replace the radiator cap when I do this kind of thing, and this one is showing some wear on the lower gasket, so time for it to go.
The cap on the car now is a stainless steel unit with RC36 stamped on it, and all the lettering is either stamped or embossed.
But when I look up a radiator cap, I get "AC Delco RC27" - and on Amazon, the RC27 is a black plastic cap with red or orange lettering.

When I go to Eckler's, they list an AC Delco RC27 cap as well, but it's metal with a black sticker on it

Eckler's also has a $50 "polished" stainless cap that looks pretty much like the one that's on the car - except I can make out a P/N RC44 and it's a 17 lb cap.

The RC44 from Amazon looks the "polished" cap from Eckler's - and for a $40 difference, I could do my own polishing!

Just for fun, I'm also looking at a Mr. Gasket Thermocap ... which has a temp gage built into it, and I think that would be pretty cool!

I'm leaning toward the AC Delco RC44 since I don't want a plastic one from Amazon, and the RC27 shown by Eckler has this goofy label on it.
But the Mr. Gasket Thermocap looks like a nice touch - anyone have any experience with it?
Steven
I'm looking to replace mine too, but I'm not going to spend $50 on a radiator cap.
