I have the opportunity to purchase 2 used front C5 calipers for $60 but they need rebuilding.... One has a torn rubber boot.... Is this worth consideration and if so where cqn I find para and how hard is it to rebuild them.
You can buy new or rebuilt calipers all day long on Ebay...
beside, what are you going to do with C5 calipers? It takes adaptors, rotors and spacers to fit them to a C4. You will spend a LOT more than $60...another $500 more or less...
A torn boot or a burnt boot. If its just torn; I'd run it as is. If its burnt, they've been raced and I wouldn't touch them. In any event $60 for a pair is too high. I buy used ones for my track rat between $40-$50 for a perfect pair.

I want to do C5 brakes up front... not an uncommon thing around here.... from what I hear all I will need is new bracket (exotic muscle has them for 200 bucks) calipers with the appropriate brackets, rotors, and optional braided steel lines.
