Default Not making the LT1's proud...

I wouldn't say that, it was my first time.

Anyways, it was really humid out last night (due to impending thunderstorm)
I only got one race in.
And this was it.
I'm on the left, in my Zf6 Lt1.
My friend is on the Right in his 1988 GTA (auto).
Look at those reaction times baby!!! :lol:
I just sat there and spun 1st gear to read line. No traction.

Dude,...learn how to drive.... :lol:


First time I ever ran my LT-1 6spd I cut a 0.042 light and went a 1.94 60ft. You can't just floor it,....it takes some finesse.

What can be said about the first time at many different things, sometimes its messy, sometimes its everything you dreamed of - but, there is only one first time. Besides, I think its cool for people to try something new - too many Vette owners are afraid of drag racing for reasons that are not much of a reason.

You'll learn more as you return for your next dragstrip passes, but let me steer you in the right direction for understanding your time slip: your reaction time has to do with how long it takes for you to start moving whether you are spinning the tires or not. No doubt you were on a sportsman .500 tree. What this means is that there is one second between the lights as they count down. As long as your reaction time is .500 or greater toward the green light then you have a green light. Less than .500 and you have a red light. What tire spin has an effect on is your 60' time, the time it takes you to cover the first 60'. Excessive tire spin will make your 60' times longer.
