has anyone done a good install thread on the tpis minram intake? i have been trying the search, but im not getting any hits. if not, has anyone done the install themselves, and can tell me how involved of a process it is, as in, do i need to change other parts to make it work, do i need to get the car re-tuned to get it to work properly? can it be done with the engine in the car?
thanks for any info

I needed to retune my build, it was completely off after the MR install. I wouldn't ever pull the engine for an intake swap. An intake install is pretty straightforward. Plop it on and torque it up!
Check the back of the MR for sealing to the block. I added a bead of weld so it covered the block better. Search my threads for pictures. I also used a punch to make some dimples in the block so the RTV seal was better.
I used a double thick gasket to raise the MR. It helped align things better possibly from milling the heads.
I would really like to redo the fuel crossover as I hate that tube and the FPR mount too.
You will need to clearance the back of the manifold for the oil sender. I bent tubing for the power brake line so it didnt have a real long rubber line. It took a little modding to get all the cables lined out on the throttle body. Not much. You have to cut the water passage off the bottom of the TB also. I think instructions are on the TPIS web site.

Seeing those pix reminds me, probably need adapters to come off the stock hard lines. Then run new line up to top. With or without the stock fuel filter, some years have different sized lines too. The return was smaller I believe.
