It's more a matter of seeing what was really done. We can all see dynos go up (and presumably times go down) but it takes looking at fueling and spark tables to see what created such a difference. A printout of the dyno isn't the same thing.
I'll admit I'm one of the hesitant to believe -- because the difference is so stark. Many people have trouble getting that much difference between before/after mods -- in addition to tuning tweaks.
I have seen an initial tune by Alvin and it looked like he really does go conservative -- to make sure your car starts, runs, and doesn't have detonation issues. There's a lot of room between safe and tweaked. It's just hard to see THAT much room. Not unless your particular mail tune might have had an issue. And, we could guess about that forever.
That said, great results before and after. I bet you're pumped!
