I decided to try to find the cause of my rough idle and intermittent backfiring. I figured the backfire was probably due to too much gas so I decide to check the injectors first.
Got out the FSM and my ohm meter. The injectors read 6.9 @ #1, 15.9 @ #5, 15.8 @ #7 and the rest read between 13.0 and 13.2 ohms. The FSM indicates that they should read between 10 and 14 ohms.
With money being a little tight at this time would it be acceptable to change out #1 now and then #'s 5 &7 later?
The existing appear to be the originals. What would be a fit match for replacement of the bad ones?
Well atleast I did find the cause of the rump, rump rough idle.
I've done one or two at at time and they worked fine. Some people coming into the shop just don't have the money so we'll replace just the problem injectors with used injectors they bring in.

Ben, it's your car you can do what you want with it
if you were near i would send you some used injectors but
i'm in Southamerica, if you will take the time and effort to do the
injector swap and kept some of the originals there , they can
fail you again any time, do things right , do the job just once.
Call Jon , you can get a nice set for a great price !
If you don't want to spend any $ maybe some member can
donate a good set of injectors for you . Just my two cents !

Thanks for the thought. I am not looking for free injectors. Corvette40 indicated that people had brought used ones for him to install and I was asking if there were good used ones for sale somewhere. If they are not a significantly lower price than new ones then new ones are prefered.
I would prefer to do all on the one side when I have the rail off, however, as I am getting ready to retire in December I am limiting expenses as best I can.
PM Dyno Don, he might have some used 22's. Or you can go to
SoCalTPI.org and his contact info is there.
The club has a cruse tomorrow so I don't think you'll be able to reach him till Monday.
