Its too bad that manifold isnt around anymore and it can flow really well.
(a fire destroyed the molds at the factory)
While this is more F car oriented,it wouldve been a good alternative to other manifolds on the market.Looks like the low profile of the manifold woulc clear C4 hoods easily.
Prob. wasnt cheap either.I hear if you can find one used, its going to cost a bit of cash.
I wish they could sell these again over the counter for us C4 guys and also price it sell fast.Oh well..nice to dream.
Btw,this 350 T-Ram motor made 350HP and 390 ft lbs of torque back in 1991-92 in the Firehawks.1/4 mie times were low 13.2's with traction issues on street tires.
:D

Well I'm one of the few that actually ran that intake back to back with extruded big tube runners/intake, the mini ram and the super ram. I've got to tell you that, that intake sucked hard (hands on personal experience) the car was the slowest with that intake, the car ( 91 GTA ) had more tuning time with the T ram, than the rest of the intake setups that I tested, and it failed to perform as expected, not to mention it was the heaviest of all the different set ups out there. I will say it looks cool, but thats about it.
I've tried them all, and have run them against each other. In my opinion you just can't beat the overall performance and of the mini ram.

That's not what I've heard about it. I've heard that it's a great setup. rich@cruzinperformance has a couple of them. He's had good luck in the past with them. They stopped making them because the molds were destroyed in a fire.
Its good to hear either good or bad about them.I dont know very much except for what Ive read and remember when they came out back in the 90's.Ive read all good things about them before performing really well and havent heard any negatives until now.
I guess with all engine mods, some people get great results and some get poor results.Ive read stories about the MR or the SR not running right and having tuning problems and etc as well.I guess it depends on the motor and the tuning skills of the installer.
But I would imagine the MR being a much simpler design and easy install etc.I would like to get a MR someday as well.
But back to the T ram...like the SR,it looks mean.

while Ive never run a T-ram I have run the mini ram and while your correct that its works better than the TPI setup ,if you get a chance try the HOLLEY STEATH RAM I think youll be favorably impressed (except for the hood clearance issue)

I'm sure if you put in enough time, you can make anything work to some extent. If I racall correctly the T ram weight about the same as (3) mini rams, (2) super rams and almost (4) stock L98 TPI's, thats alot of weight in an area where you want the least. I would suggest you take a look at one, hold one in you hand (BOTH) hands, and follow the maze of air passages, especially right behind the throttle body. All I can tell you is that I took the time to work with it, and was disapointed given all the other options available, and there are a few, not only that but tested it back to back with other very popular systems. I'm being very sincere, and bothered to reply to this topic, only to give factual hands on experience, take it or leave it as you please.
Hey Jd,
Heres a link for ya to see it in the car...you ever hear of the Firehawks? It was SLP's tuner car.
Im pretty sure you did.Check out this link to see the car and etc. They sold these cars for 52 grand back in 91-92 if I recall correctly. All set up for road racing rather tha 1/4 mile.Way overpriced but had all the tweaks with brakes, suspension, steering, gearing, etc etc. http://www.dapa.org/memride/cgebhardt/1992firehawk.htm
Everythings good and hope alls well with you.Ill send you an email soon.
TTYL.

Yes I remember them, and I've seen them on cars at the drags. I have no personal experience, but it seemed like most guys with the T-Ram went faster after changing over to a Super Ram setup. The cool thing about the T-Ram is that the plenum volume is adjustabe via different plenum side covers.
