What is the stock quarter mile time of a 1993 Lt1 6-speed? I'm planning on going to the strip soon, and I want to know what all the owners are getting, so I can compare.
The quickest I have seen on a bone stock 6sp LT1 car was Mr. Mojo. He ran a 12.99. Not a 6sp. but on a 94 automatic with a 3.07 gear, I ran a 13.27 at 105.xx mph. But it was ideal weather. My 93 vert. bone stock except a 3.54 gear and a chip ran a 13.17 at 105.xx mph and with a 3000 stall converter a 12.91. All the above on street tires and not drag radials.
With a 6spd - you should be able to run mid 13's at 103-105mph... if you don't, either the car or you needs work/practice.

My best is a 13.38@105. DA was 1450. I typically run mid 13's like clock work. Low 13's are possible with good drivers/right conditions/excpetional examples of the breed. 60' on that run was a 1.99.
My Car: LT1 93 ZF6 Coupe.
Street tires Kumho Escta SPT's at 26psi HOT.
Manual Fan swtich, x-pipe, muffler eliminators, Polished ZR1 Style Wheels ONLY mods.
Today's results will be a little off from the 1993 numbers.
NO.

Yes. Mine went mid 13's/104 in Vegas on a 5k' DA. Mods are C5 wheels and brakes, amps and subs...none of which helped my 1/4 times. I think basement 13's are possible on a good runner w/excellent driving.
I hope I can at least break into the 13's by the end of the night.
Thats a reasonable expectation. Dont be surprised if you run 14s til you get the feel of things the track is always different from the street. Main thing is having fun and getting out for awhile.
So if I put new tech tires on the same car it would run the same? If we put the 10% p*ss gas in same car would would run the same? That is all I was saying.
"A little off" generally means slower -it won't match what it would when new...which isn't true and my car (and plenty of others) is proof of that. "10% p*ss gas" or otherwise. None of those things are going to meaningfully change the fact that it's a mid-low 13 second car, for the most part.
The problem is that once you start drag racing and like it you will always want to go faster and that means you are no longer stock. Ask me how I know.
Don't worry about the tree....go when YOU are ready! (time starts when your car clears the lights, not when the tree turns green)
Have fun!
Oh cool! I always thought that the times started when the light turned green. Thanks! I really don't care about reaction time, I just want to see what it can do.

Yeah I'm going to take it easy for the first few passes just to learn how the track feels.

I wasn't planning on staying stock for long anyways
