Default 700r4 rear seal replacement

Looks like I'm going to have to pop a new real seal in mine tomorrow. Is there anything to it other than remove driveshaft, swap seal, re-install driveshaft?

Do I have to mess with the c-beam, etc?

Will the trans puke a bunch of fluid if I pill the driveshaft out?

Never done one on a GM before, so thanks for the advice

Just release the rear u-joint and slide the driveshaft out.
Yes there will be a lot of fluid. Prepare for 2-4 quarts.
It might be easiest to drop the exhaust system.

Thanks, I had a feeling that might be the case. While I'm in there doing the LT-1 manifold on the passneger side it's only a few more bolts and the y-pipe is out.

OUCH! For that I'll leave the bushing in for now. The rear seal is just a stop-gap till I replace the trans.
