Does anyone have or know where I can get a wiring diagram of the climate control system? Im looking for everything from the switch to the blower. I have the hanes manual but I feel like it is missing a bunch of wires. I am in the process of cleaning up the wiring in my car and getting it back organized because the previous owner messed it up pretty bad.
Printed by H.E.L.M.S. You can find them on eBay if you don't like the publisher's price.
Thanks for the reply but I don't have access to a service manual at this time and was really hoping to try to tackle this, this weekend/week. I'm sure someone has something that'll help out quicker than the 2 weeks it'll take for me to get a manual.
nope..BUT its nice to know if its auto/electric climate control or manual air.
If its opt-68 elec-air then you must have the manual drawings to see the MANY links between control head, programmer, BCM, clutch and back,...
The a/c drawings in the FSM are several very detailed pages...I could try to scan but I need to know which pages..theres a doz or so that are all schematics. Real drawings..not a hayneys or childrens manual....
Why don;t you just tell us what its not doing and perhaps we can take the short route and just GET there...and fix it.
I found it relatively straight forward once you work through the looms and identify all the connectors. The wire colours were exactly the same on the loom as in the FSM electrical suppliment. The only thing i struggled with was identifying which was the Auxillary fan relay and which was the Main fan relay. They have the same input and output wires and the manual puts both the relays on the DS wheel arch, which was not correct to my car.
I am deleting the AC, Cruise control and all the EGR gear. I am also swiching to MAP from MAF so I may delete the burn off relays. I have kept the fan though and made a duct:
If only I could claim the credit. A friend did it for me - I am very lucky with the amount of experienced friends who are willing to help with everything from advice to making stuff for me for free to providing a perfect workshop to get is project underway - I owe a lot of beer!
