Default Anyone remove the AIR injection?

I'd like to hear if anyone has removed the air injection equipment from a LT1 / LT4 car. I am putting TPIS headers on the car, and orginally thought I would keep the air injection because I didn't see how it would effect power. But I am having a heck of a time getting it back into the car, and to be honest, removing it would clean up the engine bay quite a bit. My car is an LT4 so I don't have the EGR stuff already.

So has anyone removed it, and if so, how did you do it? I already have the tubes that go into the exhaust manifolds off, can I just unbolt the pump and pull it and the hose out? I have LT1Edit, so if there are some parameters that need to be turned off, I think I can do it. I looked quickly at the pump, and did not see anything else hooked to it (like a fuel vapor line), so it seems pretty straight forward...

Any idears? Thanks!
Jeff

i dont know if you can actually remove it without putting a pulley in its place, i know you can at least disconnect the electrical so it doesnt engage
