The driver's window on my 87 will not go up or down. Regulater is still working. Tore door panel off etc but still can't seem to be able to see or feel anything broken or disconnected. anyone know how to figure out how to solve this problem. Is there another panel on the inner door that must come off?
Hi the aluminum trim will come off when you remove all the bolts, do you have the early winders with a white plastic teethed ribbon?
they can loose some teeth and no longer work. The later type have the X type arms sometimes the electrical plug/motor connection can sit adjar a little and prevent the window from working. Slam the door while holding the window up or down button if it starts working the connector is usally the problem.
There is not much wire so they tend to get pulled to one side a little.
The early type will need a new plastic ribbon usually but you should have the later type window regulator.
