Default Steering Rack
I guess it is true what they say about old Corvettes. Noticed fluid leak on garage floor and found it to be leaking from the steering rack. Anyone had an issue with leaking steering racks? What did you do to fix the problem?

Had one with a leak awhile back, replaced the o-ring on the hard line and all was well.

If you have to replace/rebuild the rack I highly recommend Turn One.

lucas oil makes a rack and pinion liquid seal rejuvenator, it works great , used it for years in alaska on everything from volvo's to chevy's, saves big time on parts replacement, napa and others sell it

Might as well get a Z51 quick ratio rack while you're in there. Only 2 turns lock to lock.
