Cold Start Valve...do I need it?

Cold Start Valve...do I need it?

I am putting my engine back together and I can't find the O-ring that fits on the end of cold start line that connects into the fuel rail. Chevy don't have it by it self, I have to buy the whole line. I live in Florida and was wonding if I could just cap off this line?

Anyone done this? Any suggestions?

There is a rebuild kit for the whole fuel rail. I think the part number is. This is the make so your dealer won't have this. Standard skh24 i think. $5.00

I don't even think you can buy the CSV setup anoymore. You would be better off finding an o-ring, as the blockoff kit is something like $60.

Find an O ring at a hardware store or a whole box (cheap) at Harbor Freight. Don't know if they'll hold-up to the heat but, it's worth a try.

I found the O-ring at a Corvette specialty shop...Now to get the beast back on the road!!!!
