Cam and head question ??
My brother just bough the super ram, and now, we are also thinking of upgrading his cylinder head to the edelbrock rpm performer(smog legal), and also upgrade his cam on his 86 w/ the GM 300 HP crate motor. we were thinking of getting a cam with similar specs to the hot cam 218/228 .525/.525. unfortunately, his motor is not a hydraulic roller( hydraulic flat tappet) so we can't use hotcam.
what do you guys think of this combo ?

afr's are the best, good choice
as for the cam, you should look at lingenfelters 74219, and try to find a regular cam with the same or similar specs
