93 Transmission shifting Problem
My wife has a 93 40th ANV, ATM, 65,000 miles, that sits in the garage 80% of the time. I decided to drive it, to blow the dust off.
Vett was running great, hwy speed 70mph. then the traffic jam, slowed me down to a stop. When traffic cleared, the Vett would not shift out of 2nd gear. Drove 5 miles at 35mph to my work. Checked the Trans fluid, its fine. Nice clean red color. On the way home I climbed up to 45mph pushed shifter into "N" then back into "D" and it shifted into 3rd. At 56mph I did the same thing 3 times, and it shifted into 4th, if I release the gas, its like you steped on the clutch, and the RPM goes all the way down to Idle, car is coasting,,,,,???? I have no clue, any Ideals? I have searched the forms and did not read anything like this, did I miss it? Can some one direct me to my next step before my wife drives it and blames me for hot rodding it,

Assuming none messed with the tv cable in your 4l60,another known issue may be a stucked TV plunger inside the TV bushing.
To solve this problem you can find shift kit with a little aluminum plate that goes into the TV bushing and regulates plunger excursion inside valve body preventing it to get stucked,this pic show you a shiftkit by transgo this little plate is what cures a stucked TVvalve
Also I would ceck the governor,your symptoms aren't a worn out 2nd clutch pack,it seems to me more pressure and valves related.

It started shifting today but real hard. I have decided to let the experts look at it,
He will clean and change fluids, then test drive,,,,,we will see,,,,thank you for all the help, I will update once its fixed. yes by a corvette Tech

Ok Here what we found. Pulled the trans pan, the bottom was full of sluge, I guess its from sitting for long periods of time. We cleaned the pan, cleaned the valve body, put new fluid, shifting GREAT 
I will drive it at least once a week now to keep it in check.
