Would the ECM be aware of it and compensate with fuel if the IAC was improperly letting air into the manifold, say, if the IAC wasn't closing because the solenoid was getting quircky? And if this behaviour of a faltering IAC was intermittent this would cause the car to have days where it runs a little stronger than other days (outside humidity and temps not included), correct? (if the ECM wasn't compensating) I suspect the IAC due to the car sometimes idling faster by about 200 - 300 rpms for no apparent reason until I reset the IAC.
How much for a new IAC, roughly, and do they sometimes tend to go bad at mileage as low as 30K?
