Engine/heads question
I have a set of heads from an 89, L98 motor. Will the heads work on a 85 L98 motor? Also, I have a 6 speed 89 trans that I want to use on this motor. Will the trans bolt up to the 85?

The 85 vs 89 head answer.. the center bolts are different. also the same with the intake.
The SBC trans bolt pattern has not changed.
But the crank is different 1 piece rear main vs 2 piece rear main
This will make the flywheel and or flex plate different
