L98 Battery Voltage Question

L98 Battery Voltage Question
I figured out that my alternator took a crap on me, so I swapped it out yesterday (in a mere 5 minutes). Now, my battery voltage, at idle with the A/C on, is 12.0. Then when I'm driving around, it goes up to 13.6 (A/C still on). With my A/C off, while driving the voltage is at 14.3 (Which I know is fine) It's the 12.0 that has me worried. If it's 12.0 with just the A/C on, what's it going to be when I turn my headlights on at night? (Of course my A/C won't be on then...) I think I need to charge my battery too though (Cuz I think the dying alternator discharged it a little bit) Should I be worried?

i wouldn't be too worried. 12V @ idle just means your alt is not spinning fast enough to make more juice. Once you give it some gas, that 12 should bump up a little.
You don't run underdrive pulley's, right?

No underdrive pullies...I may actually OVERDRIVE my alternator pulley. But I'm gonna charge my battery tonight, just for piece of mind, ya know? Thanks for the replies :cheers:
