Hey guys, my passenger side window on my 92 vette will not go down, everything was fine today on the way to work had both windows down, rolled them up and went in, came back out and the passenger side won't budge with either pass or driver side switch, checked all the fuses in the dash and they are good.... is there any common problems I should check? Any other vehicle I ever replaced window motors in would get slow or go up a little then stop, let it rest and go again, I never had one "stop cold turkey" do y'all think its my window motor?
The motor is the most common cause. It's a CRAPPIE job to put one in, I'd rather do an opti almost.
But you can get at the connector and put voltage into it to confirm if motor is bad. Or if you can tap the motor with an hammer and see if it will release (to confirm). The bearings usually lock up.
Do everything that you can to test it before having to pull it out.
At least yours won't go down. A few years ago a group of us were driving to Carlisle and a person with a 96 couldn't get the window back up. He prayed that it wouldn't rain until after it was fixed. He had some luck in that area.
