Default Power Effects Exhaust

My 1995 LT 1 came to me with adjustable power effects exhaust. I have seen a few pictures and it always shows the adjustable dials facing towards the outside of the car. My adjustment dials point towards each other.

Does anyone know proper installation?

As it is the weekend I cannot contact the vendor for the information...I was hoping that someone would know and I cant google up anything.

Any help would be appreciated

I've seen it mounted both ways so I'd guess it's "your choice" I've a system that's not installed yet and I assumed that I'd put the actuators towards the center of the car just to keep them out of the path of the "trash" from the tire. Mounted on a C4 there's nothing actually visible other than the rear of the tip if it's mounted correctly. On another vehicle where it's all visible maybe it would be a "mind changer"!

If you call them tomorrow I'd be interested in their comments. They're real good guys.

My 94 vert came with them. The dials are facing outward which makes it easy to adjust them
Ifvthey face inward I would imagine it is not so easy to adjust.
With the top up I have to keep them closedor there is too much noise in the cockpit.
Even with the top down I dont open them up all the way as there is too much resonance.

I have called a few times over the past week and couldn't get someone to pick up, however I didn't leave a message.

What started my concern over this matter was I read somewhere that it was very bad over time for the engine. I can't remember where I read it and I cant find it again. That is my only concern really, I just don't want to cause a problem.

I will try again with the manufacturer next week. It was a short holiday week

Thanks for the response guys

I can't understand how it could make any difference what so ever with engine performance or reliability! It will be interesting to see what Joe tells you. One of these days they'll quit answering their phone I would think. I've bought replacement pipes and some hardware from them. Good guys!!!

I have the power effects on my '93 lt-1 and the dials are facing outwards. According to the installation directions, the capsules have a left and right side difference with the dials facing outwards. Hope that helps!!

I hadn't talked to the guys for a couple of years and took a chance and made the call - there is "NO" correct/required orientation of the capsules for "performance". They could be **** up, down, left or right which is what I expected to hear. Now when these were shipped as sets there had to be two orientations which only located the POWER EFFECT badge on one side/**** on the other if that's the way yours were shipped, mine were loose for my choice of orientations. I've had 3 sets and only one left with both LT1/4 inlet pipes and LT5 inlet pipes (cat to resonator).

Has no effect on the engine performance whatsoever.
