Default 95 Power seat issue

Only the driver's side power seat works. When switch to DS the DS air blatters respond and the power motor works, but when switched to PS the PS blatters respond but the power switch does not switch and the power remains going to the DS. The console is out, the switchs are exposed but I can not see any evidence of shorting. My Haines manual says nothing about power seats. Can anybody help?

If you have had the seat out lately, did you rewire it color to color? If so, this is wrong, you must wire it to the opposing wire color. I know it does not sound right, however that is what my 96 did when I had the seats out for repair. It is the first thing I did, find like color wires and hook them to each other.I worked with the switch for awhile to no avale, then went to the forum and found the answer.Hope this helps

Well, the seat and wiring harness worked fine, then the issue arrised as stated above. The wires have never been cut or rewired, and the plugs are one way fit. I took the PS seat out, placed in the DS and hooked the wire harness up and it (the seat) worked fine. I'm almost certain that the 6-way switch has pooooo'ed the bed. Now, I need to find a replacement part.

Thanks for the advice though.

This is the greatest site, and MissleDoc you get what we call in the Army..."Hero of the Day". That was the perfect answer, and it worked perfect. Tango/Mike. It is amazing what you can learn here. Now to send back that expensive switch and spend my money on new projects. Again....T/M very much.
