Its not that critical...

There should be NO tension on the cable at idle on the TB or even with slight throttle opening. Tension should come with throttle, none until you apply throttle. If it has tension its too tight in the trans end of the cable. Check the cable mount and make sure the sleeve is not bound or out of place.

set the TV cable at the most slack setting in the throttle body cable mount, set the cable with 1 WOT throttle, then drive to "feel" what it does. it WILL be soft...so go back and tighten up the cable 1-2 clicks at a time until you get the OD upshift at approx 55 mph and the shifts come around1800-- 2000 give or take, without wanting to run out much beyond that with lite throttle. With heavier throttle the shifts should move to the next level...2500-3000 and so on.
The OD upshift @ 55 is the rule of thumb for TV cable adjustment.

Look at the ASR module where the TV, Pedal, and Cruise cables meet. There is a hole in those disks that lines up. Place a drill bit through those holes to make them into single unit. Then from that point TV adjustment is just like other 700R4s.

The cable should be fully extended at wot. That is the only correct way to set it.
