Wow. Just... wow.

What rule did he break?

Seems like a legitimate concern to me.

Cool story bro...really? 1 time at 345 am on a deserted stretch of road...otherwise I have putted around.

This guy that is calling me out has a youtube account linked to the forum with video evidence of a high speed fly by in a residential area.

real nice

he's mad about a pm...calling him out on a rude post

In short, I'm supposed to believe that someone who had no clue what his gear ratio was, couldn't figure out whether or not the car is governed at 155, and asks a blanket question like "how do I make my car faster" is somehow competent enough to prep an almost 20 year old car to safely go 150+. Okie dokie.

Or... to just make it really short and sweet... how about betting that regardless of whether you have done all of what it would take (very doubtful) to safely go that fast, driving down the highway at 150+ is a colossally dumbsh*t thing to do. Wanna take that bet?

I see you found one of my "technical" Threads. You should take the time to read more of them.

I think noobs should take the time to get to know their car the forum and read a lot before they start posting. Typically noobs come in wake old threads and or ask questions that have been answered a thousand times. Then they get buthurt when someone tells them to search or that they are breaking the rules. We also have trolls that come in here and pose as noobs just to start trouble so you have to excuse us if we don't believe everything you say.
If you are going to hang here you need thicker skin and you also need to learn to get along without sendin pople ugly PMs. Yes I said I didn't belive you before and I still don't. That does not make me a bad guy.

Seems clear that "some" senior members want all Jr. member to be obsequious and listen like they are in the presence of Corvette Buddha's...That anyone couldn't possibly have on staff or afford to
have a car thoroughly gone over by a qualified technician that would
know maybe one more thing that you would. A more leathery cover should apply to pm's as well and not acting rude and annoyed that
someone posted something so droll and nonsensical. And it may be
true that, "I don't know what I don't know", that is exactly why I
know to surround myself with those that do. However...no need to
consider "some" of yourselves to be those people.

This is what is happening in society as a whole...people have lost all
manners and civility. I am old and speak my mind, but I try to never
be derogatory and demeaning in my tone and manner.

I dont pretend to be a corvette guru and I certainly don't know everything I will admit that now. If I were you I would listen to Red because if anyone is a "car guru" and has a lot of experience going fast it's him.In your PM you said you didnt think I was technically superior but I am, sorry. I am not saying this to make you feel bad it is true. I am an ASE certified mechanic but I am also not even close to reaching the knowledge some of these guys have.
IMO if you are going to come into a public forum and ask questions you should be prepared to listen and eat your humble pie. People who come in with bad attitudes general get no help. Look at the amount of looks Vs replies your thread has. Also if you have such competent "Staff" on hand why are you asking questions like these? This is the kind of stuff that makes you look like a troll.

I didn't mean for this to turn in to words of war, but I just wanted to clarify that, at 155 MPH, it needs to be safely done. Unless you're at a track, or timed legal straight (Bonneville Salt Flat) chances are someone else will be on that same road, and you may take their life and yours (God forbid).
And all it takes is for an animal to run across the road and it's all over for both of you.

Just...

...and as for being civil, if you want to talk about going faster on a track, I'll gladly treat you with respect, answer where I can and at the same time learn what I can from others who reply. I learn more about these things every day and am far from being a "Corvette Buddha". With that said, as someone who lost 2 very good friends because some douchebag thought his car was safe on a highway at triple digit speeds, the second you act like driving 150+ on a highway is cool, I really don't give a damn if you are offended.

Simple enough?
