I have had my 1992 Coupe for about a month now. When I bought it, I was told the previous owner had just replaced a "leaking" slave cylinder just days before I bought it. Well, fast forward a short time later and I find myself stuck on the side of the road with the clutch refusing to disengage. After checking it out, it appeared the master cylinder had been leaking for some time (with moderate driving, the fluid drained from 'full' to 'add' in one day). Replaced the master and the leaking fluid problem remains. Does anyone have any suggestions??
There are only three parts to the system for leaks. The master, slave, and the line. Since you have a new master and slave double check the line. This hose does not have to be DOT approved which means that ANY hydraulics shop near you can fab up a hose better and cheaper than stock for you in minutes if needed.
In the future remember that you can steal some of the brake fluid from the brake resivoir and use it to get you off the side of the road if your clutch system leaks.
Also note that the hat inside the clutch master's resivoir works exactly backwards from the one inside the brake master. When brakes wear it takes more fluid for the slaves so the hat expands whereas with the clutch as it wears it takes less fluid to disengage it so the hat collapses. The "Fill" line on the clutch master is meant to be reached when the hat is installed and expanded not with the hat removed or compressed.
Where is the fluid leaking too? If it is leaking onto your drivers side floorboard, it is the master. It the fluid is coming from the bottom center of the bellhousing it is the slave. Another thing to check might be the bleeder screw. If it wasn't torqued properly, perhaps under pressure it could leak a little bit?
Finding a slave that doesn't leak out of the box seems to be more difficult than it should be. I've had two, and they both leaked. Now, if someone on here knows of a reliable brand, then I too would like to know. I'm tired of driving around with a container of clutch fluid in the car.

Follow the bunny trail. The fluid doesn't evaporate. Power Torque Systems had some genuine OEM slave cylinders...ie they won't leak. He still lists them on his website if you follow the link. $150, but you get what you pay for.
