Coolant loss, need some help????/
When cleaning my car I noticed my coolant reservoir, the plastic one, right side lower front was pretty much empty. Checked the car over and I can't see any signs of leaks, don't think it's burning it cause that is really noticable, sweet smell and white smoke. Is it possible that a car will go through a certain amount of coolant over a month or so of mostly hard driving. :confused:

Yes, it is possible. With all of the expansion and contraction going on, some evaporation will occur. However, a coolant system pressure check will insure that no leaks are present in the system.

Well I did the pressure test after work tonight and it held 12psi for 15min, from my experience if it don't leak down by then it probably isn't leaking. Topped up the reservoir and I'll keep an eye on it. :cheers:
