I have been using synthetic power steering fluid for years.
The GM Cold Climate fluid is a blend.
I have been using Amsoil. Works rather nicely. Especially because I live in Chicago and have been known to drive my CE on dry days during the winter.

Been using AMSOIL Synthetic Power Steering Fluid (Product Code PSFCN) in my 02 Z06 at the track for years without problem.
