Just got my 94 vette dynoed put down 430rwhp and 450rwtq and was wondering what it should run in the quarter mile? I have 3:54 gears a 6 speed manual and slicks
One way to find out. A lot depends on how good a driver you are.
Thanks for the quick reply. I know i really need to go myself and fond out but i was curious what times i should expect out of the car with a good driver
The MPH will be close, the ET depends on alot of other factors that are hard to model..
Did you dyno on a DynoJet, or one of the closer-to-reality type dynos? You'll need to divide your RWHP by 85% value to estimate FWHP in the above calculators. If your numbers came from a dynojet you may need to reduce the value by about 5-6%.
Figure about 3700 lbs depending on your weight and assuming no lightening.
Why is your TQ higher than your HP? I haven't seen that since the longer runner TPI motors...

Depending how well you can launch the vette from standing start, but i would think 10 to11 sec quarters possible with your power figures at the wheels gearing and slicks if you can slam thru the gears fast.
The 415 hp (flywheel) ZR1 had mid to high 12 sec quarters with street tires and new tight engines. the LT1 did mid 13 sec quarters with 300hp at the flywheel).
With practice you will get faster, depending where your car makes most torque that is where i would shift or slightly past the torque bump. H/p sells engines ... torque accelerates you.
Anyway they are great numbers that engine puts out enjoy
Thanks everyone for the replies youve been very helpful...the car was dynoed on a "dynojet" dyno and i was told that the dyno is "dead on" as there track cars all run what they shud be for horsepower to E.T times. I dont know why the torque is higher maybe because it is a 396 stroker? Im knew to these lt4 motors so bare with me

That sheet lists it as uncorrected, so you'll read much higher than the SAE values most dynos and equations use. Did you have valve springs put on recently or checked? That fluctuation and drop off near 6000rpm looks like valve float onset. Thats the reason your TQ is higher, something's causing your top end power to drop off.. I wouldn't think about running it at the track until you have the engine and valvetrain looked at.
I dont know who tuned the car as i just bought it recently i was told it had a mail order tune...build is a 396 mallory crank, oliver rods, je pistons, afr 190 heads, ported lt4 intake, bbk tb, headers, and a decent roller cam (dk specs)

Thanks i will deff look into that i was told it was cutting out up top due to an ignition issue...im looking to getting it on a mustang dyno come spring but i am pretty confident numers shouldnt be too off as the car pulls on my uncles c6 zo6
I'd say mid to low 11's depending on weather conditions and how hard you launch. The harder you launch the bigger the chance you will destroy something in the rear.. There is a fine line with the M6.

What is weak with the m6? And im not to worried about breaking something because i cant get the car too hook for the life of me even with 315 street slicks in the rear...
