The only problem I see with this set up is that you still have to run the OPTI for timing. That still leaves the issues with the oil seal and water getting into the OPTI and damaging the sensor.

I personally would like a solution which removes the OPTI completely.

In my case the del-teq would not support my needs @17lbs boost. This system simply could not generate sufficient spark and horsepower dropped significantly @4800rpm and more.

WOW!

That is interesting and different than what Id expect.

I know I run an MSD 'box' (6-BTM - though Im not using the boost retard feature). on my 93 with 12 psi boost.

I also gapped the plugs a little tighter.

Though I learned the hard way that the gap needs to be at least .035" or they will not fire...

http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonnection/24x.aspx is the only solution other than the opti. I'm pretty sure the other two companies that provided "other" solutions have gone out of business. The only issue with the EFI kit, besides the cost, is that you have to use the LS1 computer as a piggyback. You have to keep your LT1 computer to run so much crap for the car. This makes an expensive job VERY expensive as you have to have a knowledgable electronics guy to merge the harnesses. This is the route I wanted to go if my issue ends up being the opti, but I'm looking at 4x the cost of a QUALITY opti replacement. THEN, I have to get the LS1 computer tuned. BAM, the ignition system is now worth more than the entire car...

What company made the setup similar to the del-teq that used the ls1 coils with the optical trigger.... That seamed like a good option to me without converting to the 24x
