Check the vacuum lines that regulate the opening and closing of the vents. Sometimes they are leaking, cracked, or come off...

The other BIG possibility is a broken connector between the motor for the air box (air mixer) and the rod attached to the mixing door. When broken, the door can (and often does) sit on the side where you're getting only hot air.

The air box (mixing box) is on the passenger side, inside the firewall (in the cabin), and is hard to get to.

I'll come back and post a link to a thread with a picture of what I'm talking about. (I think it has "climate control" in the thread name. I probably posted in that thread too.)

There are two kinds of air mix door controls, depending on which HVAC system you have.

If it's a C60 manual system, the air mix door is controlled by a metal cable connected to the HOT -- COLD lever.

If it's a C68 automatic system, the air mix door is controlled by a motor. The motor is controlled by the HVAC programmer above the gas pedal. The HVAC programmer is controlled by the HVAC control head in the center cluster.

Anyhow, the C68 air mix door motor looks like this from above. The motor moves the lever and the round white part holds the rod that moves the air temperature door:
