When I drive after about ten minutes whenever I stop at a light there's smoke coming out from the passenger side of the hood. Also it smells like bad oil too. It's been happening on and off for couple of months now and has been recently happening a lot. What problems can there be to solve this problem?
These are known for oil leaks out of the rear corners of the intake base manifold.
Check your valvecover gaskets and oil pressure sending unit first.
Probably dripping on your precat
Degrease the whole thing first real good then check.
I'lll bet it's your valve cover gaskets! I just got mine checked out when I had the oil changed and they have a small leak. Going to get them replaced next week. Hell they are 23 years old!
Maybe open the hood and see where the smoke is coming from.
Now that's funny...mean...but funny.
It's a 21 year old engine, so pick a gasket and it's probably leaking.
Read that you found it coming from your dipstick. I'm sure that an aftermarket one won't be too hard to find. You can even try a salvage yard. They put the L98's in Corvettes and Camaro's, there were alot of those made.
I remember reading a post about dipsticks and pretty sue they don't make any aftermarket ones for your year, so you will probably have to hit the salvage yards!
