ok guys just got done finishing up my Super Ram and LPE header install on my 89 auto. Wasn't so bad after reading all of your the install threads here . The headers were a PITA but it's done and man what a difference. She is a total different animal. Anyway back on track. I went for a cruise and noticed my door chime won't shut up and my climate control doesn't work. Also my interior lights seems to stay on for a bit longer. I know I could check the fuses but I also wanted to brag about my car Thanks in advance for any replies .
Also my Battery or alternator doesn't seem to be working right. Battery will hover at 11.5 and all of a sudden dash brightens and volts go to 14+. Hoping all this is related . thanks again .

I assume you didn't have these problems before your headers were installed right? I would check all of the connections you had to undo to replace your headers and add the super ram first!
I've checked all connections going to battery and alternator and anything that was unplugged for install. I guess I gotta get under her tomorrow and check that ground. Anybody think it has anything to do with me losing all EGR and emissions garbage without having my tune yet?
Funny, my 92 door chime would sometimes get "stuck" and sound weak. It was doing this about half the time; then a few weeks ago after installing my konis, I went to yank out the fx3 controller out and as I was moving the wire bundles around it quit chiming for good. Tried to move the bundles around again to see if it would work, but no luck. Oh well, good riddens!
Oh how I wish I could be that lucky. I did have battery disconnected but hooked it up for a second to pressurize fuel rails to check for leaks and something sparked that was disconnected. Gotta get the battery out to check fusible links I read that are back there . let's hope .

I think that is a good idea. Depending on your findings, you want to consider checking any fuses that relate to the CCM and to measure at least one side of the fuse receptacle has power to it (with key on) with the fuse pulled out. A fuse link can kill power to one of the smaller fuses.
I had ALOT of similar issues and it turned out that I had (several major) leaks, which all did their best to ruin the electrical system of the car.
The added power might be making some of those old gaskets shake abit more, and lose their ability to seal maybe.
In related news half the time my Door Ajar light is on. That's more because the stupid push button they used is 23 years old now, and needs lubed. Naturally I'm too lazy to od that just now with the other stuff I'm working on.
