Default 87 L98 Plenum Bottom Port

Ok, when I take stuff apart I always take pictures.....well except this time so i need some help.

I am doing a rebuild and am finally ready to drop the motor back in the car and in preparation I am putting all the vacuum ports etc. back on the plenum now that it is ported and top polished. The problem is I have one very large hole in the back center underside of the plenum and I forgot what electrical connector goes in there (i am guessing it is electrical).

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated......Thanks

Think thats an air intake temp sensor.
2 prongs something like that? Should go back by the firwall, buried somewhere in there if I remember. Dont forget to hook up the EST wire back there, too

Lots of people have put a plug in there and relocated that air temp sensor in the air cleaner Im not sure if it helps performance very much but it sure is easier to get to

On my '86 that sensor is used by the ECM to determine when to enable EGR. It has no other function.

It has NOTHING to do with performance.

I believe the MAP cars have a MAP sensor there.

SD cars still have the IAT at that location
The MAP sensor is located at pass side rear of plenum
