Default Spent more money...

TPIS long tube headers with catback was ordered and I am awaiting delivery. Is there anyone in the No. Va. area who would be willing to help me with the install? I have never put headers on an LT1 before so would highly appreciate the help. Beer and pizza is on me!

Not sure if its good or not but the whole setup is $1200 which includes headers, ypipe and catback. Compared to the other systems offered, I thought it was a good deal so I jumped at it.

Its not to bad actually on the LT1, I did it in my garage with car on jackstands. You'll need a dremel or similar to grind on the 4th bolt on the drivers side a little and then 2 of the acc. brackets need a little grinding to fit correctly, no big deal a few minutes on each.

1 other hint, unhook the passenger egr tube from the back of the intake before removing it, then install it in the header and reattach to the intake.
it will make it much easier, I did this after forcing it into the header for about a half hour and ended up bending the nut out of round slightly.

Get some goos header gaskets also, don't use the ones they send you.
I got some of those Percy's super soft aluminum ones. I tightened everything down, ran car for a while, re tightened, raced hard 2 days, re tightened and haven't had to since!

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the tips, they will come in handy!
