are you familiar with the ninth injector? Previous owner might have removed it. Mine was leaking so I deleted mine. Takes a little extra cranking to get her started now. It's on the drivers side and injects directly into the plenum-look for a small metal hose coming off the back of the fuel rail to the injector. If it's not there, that could be causing your long crank time. That injector is only on the old C4s, it shoots a small amount of fuel directly into your intake, kinda like spraying starter fluid into the intake, to get things started more quickly. You don't have to have it (they tend to leak after a while) and you can't buy a new one, to my knowledge.

Just a thought.

Are you referring to the "cold start valve"?

Yes, known to be problematic on early BMW models too. It commonly leaks and are many times eliminated. Thanks for the tip.

Default Pulsator damper

After a complete search and change out of the entire fuel system, i found it was a ruptured fuel pulsator damper - it's just upstream of the fuel pump (note the troubleshooting manuals dont mention this thing as a potential pressure issue source). You can replace this little piece with straight fuel hose - pressure problem now solved and my hard starts when warm are now much much better. hope this helps.
Hello Viii, I read with interest about the fuel pulsator damper that you took off. I'm having the same problem on my 86 no start when warm, I put in a new fuel pump, I can see & feel about 12 to 15 inches of fuel line where the fuel line comes out of the tank by the filler cap but theres nothing but fuel line, what does this pulsator look like? Maybe an 86 dosn't have one,or maybe its located farther down the line? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks,Mark

what fuel temp sensor? you guys do know this is a four old thread? i'm fairly sure the OP, along with his issues, are long gone.

Old Corvette issues rarely die; they just get passed along to the next owner.......
