In my 85 No matter what setting the heater controls are on, Floor, Vent Defrost, etc. it is always coming out of the vents. What would cause this issue. All advice and suggestions are Greatly appreciated.. Thanks
Most common problem is lack of vacuum.
Follow the vacuum line from rear of plenum towards firewall. The vacuum line will end at a check valve which tees and one side feeds HVAC and the other feeds cruise and vacuum storage tank.
Check all the lines and check valve for a leak or no connection.
I found the vacumm line ( passange side just below the frame brace near the firewall ) on mine was broken, a small piece of rubber vac tubing mended the problem.
on my 84,had a broken vac line,it was in with the wiring harness down by the starter. pita to find, who would think the vacumn line would go down there . to find,a neighbor walked over to see what was going on. in his normal rude self,he blew cig smoke in my face, this time he was a help. it hit me, i unhooked a vacume line had him blowing smoke smoke into it tell i saw where it was coming from.opened the harness and found the broken line. repaired with a piece of rubber line, everything has worked great every since. just my two cents

Ever had mice in your car? Seems they feast on the vacuum lines in back of the radio.
