Default New 90 coupe electrical problem

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS OR EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM....

GO TO START THE CAR, AND THE ONLY SOUND IS A CLICKING WHEN I TRY TO TURN THE KEY. AFTER A COUPLE MORE TURNS OF THE KEY, IT FINALLY STARTED. GOT TO DESTINATION AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
GOT HOME UNDER THE HOOD AND PUT A MULTIMETER ON THE BATTERY. THE BATTERY SHOWED A 12.25 DC VOLTAGE. SO i PUT THE BATTERY ON THE CHARGER AND CHARGED IT TO 12.6 V TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT STARTS. TURNED OFF THE CAR PUT THE MULTIMETER ON THE BATTERY, IT READS 12.3 V AND WILL NOT START.
TOOK THE BATTERY TO EXCHANGE IT UNDER WARRANTY AND THE GUYS TELL ME THE BATTERY IS GOOD , JUST NEEDS A CHARGE.
LONG STORY SHORT - AFTER 1 START, THE CAR DID THE SAME THING TO THE LOANER BATTERY - RAN DOWN THE VOLTAGE AFTER 1 START.

LATELY ITS BEEN REAL COLD FOR CALIFORNIA AND I FIGURED MAYBE THE BATTERY HAD LOST A STEP IN COLD CRANKING POWER AND WOULDN'T HOLD A CHARGE. BUT NOW SINCE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO THE LOANER BATTERY GIVEN TO ME WHILE THE STORE CHARGES MY BATTERY - I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON.
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A PARASITIC DRAW TO DRAIN A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY WITH A COUPLE OF TURNS OF THE IGNITION?

ANY HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED. ITS DARK HER NOW BUT I PLAN ON TESTING FOR A SHORT SOME WHERE IN THE SYSTEM, AS WELL AS ALTERNATOR , STARTER , AND ANY OTHER PLACES YOU SUGGEST TOMORROW AT 1ST LIGHT. THANKS ALL

What charging Volts are you showing when the engine is running?
If the Alt is not charging the battery properly then you will be taking out more on each start than is being replaced
thereby reducing the batt voltage

I'm inclined to think your starter is the problem ,mine will fire up easily on less than your voltage .
Just started mine now with 11.0 V showing on the gauge
What does the starter do when it won't start?
Possibly the contacts in the solenoid are worn , a common problem with age

so they are not passing full batt power to the starter motor
Also worth checking for clean, tight connections on the two batt cables ; both ends.
A bad connection will also prevent full power passing
