Good on not using the LT5 think youll be pulling your hair out and $$$ on the conversion. Sure they are super cool but unless it came in the car I wouldnt.

Even though it'll cost less (projected) than some of the other things I've done to the car, it probably won't be very obvious. Most people have to look for the bumper, wheels, and/or emblems on a ZR-1 to confirm that it's not a base model.
I'm looking into that as well. I'd like for a smoother transition where there's not such a crease where the flare meets the bodywork. Something like this superspeedster. With the wide quarter body and a flare I can get a 12" wheel... maybe 13".

I think everyone I've seen putting wider rears on ZR-1's maxed out at 12"...it allowed them to stuff the Viper 355's under the fenders but much more and there was rubbing going on. Most of them sent the rims out and had a 1' spacer added to the barrel of the rim, re-machined them and refinished them.
