OK...But your dyno only runs up to 5250 rpms. And, the data you fed the calculator is lower than your engine. You must have been using the 10-times-the-Torque data again? Maybe that's fine for some ideal, but it doesn't apply to your specific car.

If you just linked it for general purpose...then I get it. It also shows why you needed to run the rpms up higher (for your dyno) if you really wanted to get/set your shift-points.

Crepitus....This is probably the link you (and the rest of us) would rather have.

Bowling's Optimum Shift Calculator
Input Parameters Are the Following:
Transmission Ratio One = 3.28 to 1
Transmission Ratio Two = 2.14 to 1
Transmission Ratio Three = 1.57 to 1
Transmission Ratio Four = 1.24 to 1
Horsepower = 117 at 2000 RPM
Horsepower = 219 at 3000 RPM
Horsepower = 278 at 3500 RPM
Horsepower = 314 at 4000 RPM
Horsepower = 355 at 4500 RPM
Horsepower = 398 at 5000 RPM
Horsepower = 420 at 5500 RPM
Horsepower = 431 at 6000 RPM
Horsepower = 415 at 6500 RPM
Computation Results:
Using the Criterion for Maintaining the Same Horsepower Before and After Shift:
Finding Best Shift Placement Points For Ratio 3.28 to 2.14: Error: Search outside range - need more RPM range in HP table! Finding Best Shift Placement Points For Ratio 2.14 to 1.57: Error: Search outside range - need more RPM range in HP table! Finding Best Shift Placement Points For Ratio 1.57 to 1.24: Error: Search outside range - need more RPM range in HP table!

Maximumizing the Area Under the Horsepower Curve:
Finding Best Shift Placement Points For Ratio 3.28 to 2.14:

Found optimum shift RPM at 6499, which achieves maximum area under horsepower curve, and lowers the RPM to 4240 after shift
Finding Best Shift Placement Points For Ratio 2.14 to 1.57:

Found optimum shift RPM at 6495, which achieves maximum area under horsepower curve, and lowers the RPM to 4765 after shift
Finding Best Shift Placement Points For Ratio 1.57 to 1.24:

Found optimum shift RPM at 6495, which achieves maximum area under horsepower curve, and lowers the RPM to 5130 after shift

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shift at 6500, even I can rember that! rods might not like it much though.
I have been using the butt-o-meter shifting at 6200 out of 1 and 2. 6000 out of 3,4. 5 to 6 doesnt come till about 140 so not a real concern.
